Assistive Technologies

  • Portable Cassette Players - For students who have written output difficulties to aid in note-taking and studying
  • Digital Recorders - 37 minute digital, tapeless recorder for note-taking, assignment tracking.
  • Large Screen Organizers/Dictionaries - Great for keeping track of assignments, test dates, school schedules, phone numbers and appointments.
  • Speaking Dictionary/Thesaurus - For students who would benefit from hearing as well as seeing the letters in difficult to spell words.
  • Spell Checkers - A must have aid for poor spellers at elementary, middle or high school
  • Talking Calculator - For students who would benefit from hearing as well as seeing the answers to their calculations.

Loan Policy

  • The term of each loan  for books/videos is 1 month and assistive technology items will be for half a school year and/or on a semester basis.
  • A deposit of $50 will be required for each item loaned
